Decorating Cookies

Have you ever heard of the lovely, and extremely talented Bridget of Bake at 350?

If you haven’t, you simply must meet her! Go on! Hop over and take a peek at all of the divine confections that Bridget so brilliantly bakes! Click here, I’ll wait for you.

Isn’t she amazing!?! Bridget is someone who I was fortunate enough to meet through the blogging world and now feel so blessed to call “friend”. She has a heart the size of Texas (which is appropriate because she just so happens to live there) and she has a soul that’s as sweet and sparkling as the creative cookies she makes.

Well guess what? Bridget has a new book out and with the holidays right around the corner, I am thrilled to share with all of you, Bridget’s new book: Decorating Cookies 60+ Designs For Holidays, Celebrations & Everyday. Talk about a perfect gift for the gift giving season!

Let me show you some of the deliciousness!

The pages of this fabulous book are filled with gorgeous photos of *how-to’s*…

Helpful user-friendly techniques…

And pages chock full of inspiration after inspiration! There are over 60 designs of delightful, happy little cookies that are sure to put a smile on your face as well as in your tum!

I’m thinking that perhaps I’ll surprise all who gather around the Thanksgiving table this year with a slice of pumpkin pie edible place-card?

Wouldn’t that be precious!? Can’t you just imagine an initial pipped on the dollop of whipped cream? Or maybe the name written along the bottom?

And who knows… maybe I’ll even throw in a few beloved pumpkins for good measure!? I just can’t pass up an adorable pumpkin!

Have you ever laid eyes on pumpkins as precious as these?

Just take a look at Bridget’s detailed step-by-step instructions on every single page!

She’s beyond brilliant I tell you!

A few weeks ago after receiving this delicious book in the mail, my girls and I poured over it for days. My eldest (who happens to think that Bridget is the cat’s meow and still can’t believe that I actually know her) was so inspired by the book, (and a darling little care package that Bridget sent to her when she found out that my daughter wanted to make cookies) that she decided to dive in and bake up some cookies of her own.

She had such a ball making and baking Bridget’s scrumptious vanilla-almond sugar cookies! She was so excited that she even grabbed my camera and snapped a few photos of the process!

She followed Bridget’s royal icing technique’s to a *T*.

Then I couldn’t help myself from grabbing my camera to capture more of the adorableness…

I love that she tried her hand at pipping some words.

Would you look at that pink elephant and sweet lil kitty! I think that she did a marvelous job!

Don’t brightly-colored-iced-sugar-cookies just put a huge smile on your face?

Mine too.
