Make your Easter table setting sweet and endearing with white wicker baskets, eggs and flowers. You won’t believe how simple it is to set a swoon-worthy table.
Easter is such a glorious time of year! The weary world wakes up and rejoices into full bloom and color. This Easter I’ve decided to make my table setting ethereal with soft pastels and fragrant flowers that will speak to all the senses. My centerpiece consists of three white wicker baskets full soft pink eggs nestled into lush green moss and vases full of intoxicatingly delicious smelling pink hyacinths. I just adore hyacinths. If I had to describe Spring in a fragrance it would most definitely be with a hyacinth.
The table is set lovingly with grandmother’s beloved antique Haviland dishes and etched glass goblets I found whilst antiquing. It always makes my heart happy to incorporate special pieces that have been handed down from family members no longer with us. It makes me feel like their presence still mingles amongst us as we sit at the holiday table.
Tiny precious edible baskets adorn each place setting filled with goodies to nibble after (or before) Easter dinner.
I finished off the room with some simple pastel flag banners for a festive touch. I simply cut triangles out of three different polka dotted and plaid cotton fabrics and attached them to some white string with miniature wooden clothes pins. It couldn’t be any simpler.
These banners are so inexpensive and easy to make and I really love the fun and whimsy they add to any special occasion.
That’s all it takes to set a sweet and lovely Easter table. It doesn’t have to be expensive to achieve an exquisite table. All of the above items that I used I had on hand or picked up from my local craft store. Now hop to it! There’s a beautiful table waiting at your finger tips!
