Ironically, I have an abundance of thyme in my garden at the moment and very little time to do anything with it.
Story of my life.
However, after receiving some coupons from the nice folks at Hormel® to try their Always Tender® or Natural Choice® pork, a light bulb went off in my head.
Bling! I’ll use my thyme and save time at the same time! It’s perfect!
I just love it when the sun, the moon and the stars all align and the world makes sense.
Don’t you? Doesn’t happen all too often, so when it does I jump on it!
After picking up a Hormel® Pork Center Cut Loin Fillet, I pulled together some of my favorite ingredients and dinner was made in a flash!
No specific measurements or amounts are needed for this quick and easy dish, just a dash of this and a splash of that. However, I decided to give you the measurements of what I used.
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- Juice of one lemon
- 2 Tbsp coarse brown mustard
- 3 Tbsp dried rosemary
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 Tbsp Paprika
- 1 bunch fresh thyme
- Salt & Pepper to taste
After dicing and slicing the ingredients just throw it all into a zip lock bag along with your pork and give it a good squeeze until you see that all sides of the pork are nicely coated.
Could it get any easier? I don’t think so. Could be any faster? I think not.
Time is definitely on my side tonight!
Let your pork and ingredients mingle a bit in the bag. I was short on time so mine only got to mingle as long as it took to warm up the grill, but overnight in the fridge would be even better yet.
Grill your pork until it’s nice and crispy on the outside and a meat thermometer reads 160ºF in the thickest part of meat.
Don’t forget to let the pork rest a spell to lock in all of the yummy juices.
Slice and serve with a side that tickles your tummy.
See? Dinner was literally on the table in… No. Time. Flat.

I’m glad you are back and found a little bit of time to use your thyme! Pork tenderloin is one of my favorite easy / quick dinners. Your version looks delicious!
My favorite time saving recipe is sing the pork loin and putting it into the crock pot with some BBQ sauce. When it comes out I shred it and make pulled pork sandwiches.

Great combination of flavors, Wendy! Mustard, rosemary, thyme, garlic = yummy goodness. And, BTW, LOVE that plate with the little rooster at the top…so pretty.
This is my favorite “go to” recipe at the moment using some yummy Pork Tenderloin or Pork Butt.
1 diced onion
1.5-2 lb Pork loin or Pork butt (I buy a big one and cut it, put sections in freezer)
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp Pepper
2 tsp dried oregano
2 cloves of garlic, diced
1 tsp cumin
These are the measurements but I really eyeball it. Put onion on bottom, Pork on top, then add spices to the top of the pork. Put in crock pot on low heat setting, cover with foil, then lid. No peaking for 6 hours. I do not take fat off the pork as it adds to the flavor and you can “fish it out” after cooking.
Shred meat after 6 hours. We eat with tortillas, salsa verde and Mexican fixins like cheese, guac, etc.
You can refresh the dish with BBQ sauce for a 2nd meal if your family is finicky about leftovers.
I like to take applesauce, brown sugar, sliced apples and onions and bake the pork slowly. The gravy is sweet and delicious and the whole thing is perfect for fall weather.

My favorite time saving recipe is to cook a whole chicken in the crockpot. Put it in in the morning, come home after work and you have a delicious simmered chicken to eat that night, and plenty of leftovers for future meals – plus a whole crockpot full of stock if you add water! Delicious and easy 🙂

my favorite fall pork recipie is honey-ginger pork wih apple chutney
honey,soy, oyster sauce,brown sugar, ginger, and cinnamon are blended and the pork tenderloin is marinated in this overnight like in your recipie. It is baked at 400 degrees for 15-18 min with the internal temp 160 degrees. It is served with a chutney made with gala apples,yellow onion,brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, dried cranberries, white wine, and butter. WOW is it delicious-great for dinner or a special occasion.
We have a countertop rotisserie cooker, it is a time saver.
The other night we had company coming over so my husband put a Hormel Pork Tenderloin in the cooker. He basted it with Captain Rodney’s Sweet & Spicy Pepper Glaze and poured a bit of the glaze over the finished product. (delish)
I cooked some wild rice and sliced banana peppers, roma tomatoes and portabella mushrooms to place under the broiler.
It was all simple and delicious.
If you can’t find any Captain Rodney’s you can warm up some pepper jelly and have the same result.
