BlogHer Food 2010: Spoken Through Pictures

I just returned home from the phenomenal city of San Francisco and the 2010 BlogHer Food conference! I have been staring at my computer screen and reliving the marvelous experience in my head over and over. Like a movie. With musical accompaniment. But I just can’t seem to put the parade of emotions and images marching through my head into words. I keep typing and deleting. Typing and deleting. It’s almost as if I’m afraid that I can’t do it justice. What I experienced this past weekend was more than just a conference. This past weekend was filled with incredible people, invaluable information, tears, laughter, more tears, even more laughter and a sense of belonging and connection that I have never known.

I made new friends that feel like old ones.

Encountered mere acquaintances that cemented into friendships.

Met strangers who turned into friends.

I grew in ways that I could never imagine.

I learned that finding your voice is as much of a journey as living life is. One moment at a time.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. And since I can’t seem to find the words, I am giving you my words in pictures. A visual tour of my adventure.

Won’t you join me?

Having fun with some of  my partners in crime…Carrie of La Pomme de Portland, Sandy of Reluctant Entertainer, Amy of She Wears Many Hats and Robyn of add a pinch.

I am ending my photo commentary the same as I began, with the Golden Gate Bridge.

I may not be able to put my experiences into words but the pictures seem to be finding the words for me. The Golden Gate Bridge speaks the loudest. I can see that it perfectly represents the magical transformation that I experienced bridging the gap within myself…with the most fabulous of views.

So glad you joined me!

Do-bee-do-bah, bah-dah. I’ll never be able to look at those rowhouses without thinking of Full House.

Love the picture journey. Love the giant fork.

Gorgeous post! It looks like you had amazing time. Thank you for the photos. I’m now in Oregon, but California is my home… most recently Marin… which is in the background behind the bridge in your photo. It’s so good to see “home”.
